Little man has been having a blast the past few weeks at his after school gym classes. This is a new routine for us and he is always looking forward to going to his classes. He goes two days a week in the afternoons for an hour and so far, he loves it.
We have enrolled him in classes that teach basic sports skills, karate, and gymnastics. It's really been fun for me to sit back and watch as a silent observer as he discovers all the new ways his little body can move, stretch and work. I catch myself smiling this big 'ole grin and then of course, when he falls down, I'm usually wincing and worrying like a typical momma. ;-) His favorite part of the class is getting to work out in the gym area on the balance beams, bars and rings.
Jody went with us to one of his classes last week and he leaned over and said to me while watching Noah, "Who knows...we may have a little gymnast on our hands". We'll just have to wait and see. That's the one of the many fun and exciting journeys we have as parents I believe---providing a variety of experiences for our children while they are young to hopefully help them discover their God given talents and abilities. Gym-time is another new little adventure for our son which will hopefully be filled with all sorts of fun new discoveries for him and his precious little spirit.
