While we were visiting the Hill Country last week, the hubby had to attend
a 2-day continuing legal education course and so he brought us along.
It was held at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio--
this was our first time to stay at this hotel and we were super impressed at how nice it is.
Oh...my...goodness---such a fun place!!
In fact, I was a little bummed that we had changed our reservations from 4 days to 2 days
prior to checking in.
After seeing it and having so much fun with the kids at the water park--
I wished we would have kept our original reservations.
But oh well...we plan on taking the kids back this fall--
so we'll make sure to at least plan on staying 3-days so we can enjoy it more fully.
On our first day there---the hubby helped us get settled into our room and
then he had to rush off to his legal meetings.
The kids and I had fun ordering and eating room service (*wink*wink*)---
the food actually tasted amazing...Noah and baby boy shared a burger
and I enjoyed their fish tacos.
And then we headed out and explored the resort and their 4-acre water park...
It was so nice to be able to eat after we floated the lazy river. While we ate we enjoyed watching Noah go down the water slide a bazillion times...
the food areas are conveniently located right inside the water park which is so nice.
After the hubby finished his course in the afternoons...he would come to the water
park and have fun with us. :-)
This is such a great perk for parents while you are staying at the resort...
They have what is called "Camp Rowdy Hyatt"--children ages 3 thru 12 can attend
their fun camp for half a day or a full day--so we asked Noah if he wanted to go
and play with some other kids while we were there---
of course he didn't pass up that opportunity. :-)
He went in the afternoon on our second day there and had a blast hanging out with
the other kids and the fun camp counselors.
They made crafts, swam, played on the playground and had fun playing with all the neat
gadgets and toys they have in the camp play room.
It was such a help for me, too, because I was able to let the babies get a nice
afternoon nap in while he was at camp and Daddy was at his meeting.
This resort has an authentic Texas Hill Country flair about it...
I enjoyed taking pictures on my walks around the resort with the babies.
The hubby watched the kiddos one afternoon and sent me to the spa for a massage....
oh my goodness--it was so nice! Probably one of the best massages I've ever had--
and the spa itself is such a beautiful and relaxing place.
If you ever stay here---I would highly recommend setting aside some time
to enjoy the spa. Well worth it...
Here are photos of inside the spa...
After your massage...you can relax in the dining area and have a meal or just enjoy
light snacks and their great lemonade.
On our last morning there...the kids were having fun playing around in the room while the
hubby and I were packing all our things up.
Noah and Taylor at one point were making faces at each other and giggling so hard.
Little man had a blast ...in fact, he is still wearing his wristband that we had
to wear to get in the water park. He said he won't take it off until we go back again. :-)
Oh boy... he's such a funny kid.
We all look forward to when we can head back up to San Antonio and
stay at this neat resort again.
If you're wanting to visit the San Antonio area and/or if you're looking for a fun place to
take the entire family while in the Hill Country---
I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Texas Hill Country Resort.
