Feeding the ducks

Continuing on with my post from yesterday ...after the 4th of July parade in Comfort, TX,
we took the kiddos to feed the ducks in Boerne.

It's one of their favorite activities to do when we visit this cute town
Behind the shops on the west side of Main is the scenic River Walk (along
Cibolo Creek's shady River Road Park)...it's a great spot to feed the ducks.

There are usually lots of families with children picnicking along the park and fishing....
and the ducks are one of the main attractions there.

Gavin is usually a little hesitant to feed and get near the ducks...
but Tay-Tay--well, this little mama has zero fear--
in fact, we usually have to stop her because she starts chasing the ducks and scaring them.
Or she'll usually try to jump right into the river.... Oy!!

It cracks us up how far she winds her arm back to throw the bread--
such intensity--we usually bust out laughing and then she starts belly laughing.

Daddy having to block her from getting in the water.... :-)

Noah made friends with a local family who were fishing while we were there...
he loves to fish--they were so sweet and let Noah throw
one of their fishing rods for a minute.

Later that night, we headed over to the Boerne City Park to watch the firework show...
the kids had a blast sitting in the back of Daddy's big truck, eating all the snacks,
drinking root beer and watching the awesome firework show. :-)

What a fun and memorable 4th of July we had...
special family memories were made and how thankful we are for the blessing of
family, our faith and to be able live and thrive in this amazing country of ours.

We're so grateful for all the men and women who serve so courageously--
sacrifice so much---all to protect our freedoms.

xo,
jennifer

  1. What fun! Our girls used to love feeding the ducks when they were little. Taylor needs a baseball with that arm! LOL
