Wishing you a happy anniversary

Sunday, May 31, 2015

They're celebrating 46 amazing and beautiful years of marriage together today and I couldn't be prouder of them. I am so very blessed and humbled to be able to call them my mom and dad. They love each other so much and have always put each other's needs above their own. I've learned so many lessons about what true love means and what it should look like by observing them.

In their eyes...family is everything! Their children and grandchildren mean the world to them. There isn't a special occasion for their children or grandchildren that I can think of that they've ever missed. They are always there for their family--ready and willing to offer love and support however they can.

I'm especially grateful that my children share such a special relationship with them...they always make them feel so very loved and special and make the effort to be actively involved in their lives. This means so much to both my husband and me since our little ones are adopted. I have no doubt that the tender bond they share with their grandparents helps solidify the eternal bond we feel as a family.

They have always been and continue to be an amazing example to me of how important it is to hold firm to your faith in the good and bad times....and to strive daily to teach your children the importance of following the Savior. I will be eternally grateful to them for introducing me to the Gospel and raising me and my brothers in a loving and Christ-centered home. I hope I can always follow in their footsteps and lead my children to have a strong relationship with the Savior and their Heavenly Father.

We love you KiKi and Pops and hope you are enjoying your special day together!!

Gee

  1. Happy Anniversary to your parents. As soon as I saw the picture I said to myself, "oh, how sweet...it's Kiki and Pops." They always seem so happy at your family gatherings. You can see the kindness in their eyes.
And you ARE following in their footsteps. Your children will feel the same about you, for sure.
