The boys recently participated in a week of the Challenger Sports British soccer camp. It was a bit more intense than I think they or I realized it would be--so they were worn slap out each day by the end of their session. The coaches (who all were from England) worked the kid's little tails off every day teaching them all sorts of new foot skills and other soccer techniques Thankfully it wasn't too hot outside the week they attended, so that was a blessing.
For Gavin's little age group (which btw…they were all so stink'in cute playing)--
their camp was from 9:00-10:00.
Gavin can move those feet...he's seems to be a natural at this.
And then Noah's age group…their day was longer-- 9:00 to noon.
Noah did great, but he was cracking us up...he was more interested in trying to be the coach's assistant than actually playing. ;-)
While the boys were busy at camp, Taylor and I enjoyed some fun girl time. She loved having mommy all to herself. We would either go grab a bite of breakfast in downtown Fredericksburg or share a cup of hot chocolate together and watch a movie in the van while we waited for the boys to finish.
All in all, I was really impressed with the Challenger British Soccer Camp --the coaches were fabulous and the camp was well organized. They each received a detailed evaluation from their coaches which was really cool. We'll definitely be doing this again next summer if the boys are up for it. It was a fun way to kick off our summer break.
