The kids were begging us to take them to an aquarium while we were on vacation
so I looked online and read about the University of Georgia Aquarium.
It looked like a neat place to take the kids, so we loaded everybody up (sunburned and all)
on our 2nd day at Tybee Island and drove into to Savannah to head to the aquarium.
Gavin was cracking me up with all his animated/excited expressions...
The kids had a blast looking around inside the aquarium at all the marine life.
Noah was IN HEAVEN!!
Their favorite part was getting to hold the little crabs...
Afterwards, we took a walk on their nature trail and saw all sorts of cool wildlife.
Daddy leading the pack on our nature walk.
It was super hot and humid, so we had to stop and take a moment to
fix "the hair". Bless her heart--she has SO MUCH hair--which is awesome,
but on hot days like this--she was dying from the heat.
Noah was looking hard for alligators, but we didn't see any while we were there.
He was bummed about that.
starving for lunch. We loaded the kids back up in the van and headed over to the
historic Savannah River Street to grab a bite to eat for lunch.
It was neat to see how they've renovated and turned all of these old cotton warehouses
down by the river into shops, restaurants and hotels.
It was such a fun day out and about in Savannah...
but we were all happy to climb back in the van and get cooled off in the A/C.
We headed back to Tybee Island and got ice cream at the Sugar Shack.
We ended our fun-filled day with eating orange push-up pops after dinner on
the back porch of our beach house. The kids were worn out but
cracking us up with all their giggling and laughing.
Special memories made that we'll always cherish...
