Tybee Island 2015: Last night at the beach

Thursday, July 9, 2015

On our last night at Tybee Island, after dinner, we let the kids run around on the beach one last time before heading home the next morning.  They were super excited about it
and took off running toward the water as soon as we let them out of the van.

I forgot to bring something to pull back "the hair", so little mama
was getting frustrated that it was blowing in her face.
Daddy helped her work through it by giving her some bear hugs and
then she was ready to play with her brothers.

Noah was on a mission to find one last batch of seashells to take home.

We tried to take a few family photos, but the wind was blowing way too hard
and a storm was about to blow in...
so we ditched the photos and just let the kids run and play.

Noah had fun taking some photos with mama's camera....

Our home away from home...the beach house...what a wonderful rental --we so enjoyed staying here while at Tybee Island.

We got everyone bathed after returning to the beach house...
the boys passed out pretty quickly... but little mama --it wasn't happening.
She wanted to stay up with us in
our bedroom and watch Max and Ruby on the phone while
Daddy and I packed up everything to catch our flight home the next morning. Oy!!

It was bittersweet having to leave---(vacation always goes by way too fast), but I must admit, I was also looking forward to returning home and getting back into our normal routine again. And...sleeping in my own bed.

All in all (aside from my awful chest infection I came down with)...we had a great time at Tybee Island..  It was nice to be able to relax with the family--especially the hubby, he rarely gets time off from work--so we always love getting Daddy to all to ourselves while on vacation.  I'll forever cherish the memories we made while at the beach this summer.

  1. Thanks for sharing with us. It looks like a great place. (when is the beach NOT a great place?) Love the pics. You are such a good photographer; of course, it doesn't hurt that your kids are so darn cute.

    1. Thank you, Kathleen!! I was a little bummed the pics turned out so dark on the beach, but oh well. :-) I do so enjoy photographing my kiddos.
